21-JUL-2011
There
is much change afoot in the world of
electrical contracting/training. The
Electrotechnical Assessment
Specification (EAS) has issued the
requirements for Qualifying Supervisor
status with Approval bodies (NICEIC, NAPIT
etc) to be implemented from 1st
January 2012, for new applicants.
Also,
there are developments in progress to change
City & Guilds qualifications, 2377, 2382,
2391-10 and 20 and 2392-10 in order to bring
them into line with the new Qualifications
and Credit Framework (QCF) , once again by
January 2012.
Don’t
get caught up in ‘Chinese whispers’ and
‘hearsay’ regarding these new developments,
we are actively involved in these changes,
mainly those relating to the C&G, and so
will be updating this page as things
progress and hence if you read it here it
will correct.
The
first meeting of the development team for
the C&G qualifications takes place on the 14th
July, so watch this space!!
