C&G 2391-20 - DESIGN & VERFICATION

T
his short course was developed to meet one of the various requirements for NICEIC Qualifying Manager status, (it was formerly known as the C&G 2400).

The course is 24 hours duration, in which time the candidate will need to, (1) complete a City & Guilds project which demonstrates the ability to design and consider erection methods for a typical installation, (2) show practical competence in the area of testing and inspection, and (3) undertake a three hour written assessment set by the City & Guilds.

Success in all three components will result in a full C&G 2391-02 certificate, whereas success in any one, attracts a Record of Achievement for that component.

Courses will be run subject to demand, and will be delivered one evening a week for 10 or 12 weeks, or one day a week for four weeks.

It is not considered wise to undertake this course unless candidates have considerable knowledge of the electrical contracting industry, and have attended a recent 17th Edition or C&G 2391-10 course. However, consideration, advice, and guidance will be given to all interested applicants.

Candidates will be required to have their own copies of the latest editions of the BS7671:2008 (The IEE 17th Edition Wiring Regulations), IEE Guidance Note 3 on Inspection & Testing, and the IEE On-Site Guide. Copies are available to order via our text book page.

Unfortunately, there is not currently any information for this course on the City & Guilds website.
